Outdoor Work!

It was finally nice enough to work outside this afternoon! We had these horrendous bushes in front of our basement windows, deck, kitchen window and front porch. We were able to pull them up with the tractor - those roots were massive. Now the front of our house looks a little naked, but I'll plan that out this week. I love seeing changes to our cute little house!

Front Porch Sittin

Since the weather has warmed up, I decided to cheer up our front porch today. I had some black paper lanterns leftover from our wedding, and I knew I wanted to hang them up on the front porch, but they needed something a little... Extra!

For the longest time, I've had a collection of yellow, grey, black and white patterned fabrics. I never knew what I was going to do with it until today!

I made some rosettes and yo-yo's, and attached them to the sides of the lanterns. I also bought this gorgeous black and white paper butterfly from Hobby Lobby (88% off!) and glued it on to the side. They look awesome!

Just ignore my messy porch, please! :)
